Learning Objectives:
Review concrete mix design parameters
Learn about cure / cure & seal compounds
Learn about sealers and densifiers
Learn about epoxy and decorative coatings
Presentation Summary:
The performance of a concrete floor depends on several factors from selecting the right thickness to concrete mix design. One area that is not discussed as much is surface treatments that can affect strength and durability. This includes products that are applied topically to concrete floors to achieve specific visuals and properties. Curing compounds, cure & seal products, densifiers (hardeners), epoxy coating, micro-topping, and decorative coatings are among these treatments. The choice of technology depends on specific application and desired visuals, as well as exposure and load conditions. This presentation will review various technologies along with case studies and spec guides both for new and repair projects.
Who Should Attend:
Any professional that is involved with design, specification, construction or maintenance of concrete floors. This includes owners, architects, designers, engineers, project managers, specifiers.
